Laundry Bench Lift and Re-seal
Client had purchased a house with laundry benches built too low to fit a washing machine underneath. To remedy this the old, water damaged kickboards were removed, cupboarding was brought forward 10mm to avoid the tiling and new legs were installed. The benchtop was then reaffixed and re-sealed. This approach limited the potential for expensive tile damage and limited the need to interfere with electrical and plumbing services that could have increased the project cost.

Metalwork Sculptures
During Glen's time in NZ away from his beloved shed, he moved from Luthiery (guitar making) to metalwork due to the lower quantity of tools required. He began selling his work through the renowned Lestrange Gallery in Sumner soon after, which led to his work being acquired by notable New Zealand collectors and even having some of it end up in home and lifestyle publications. After returning to Australia, Glen held a solo exhibition at the Yarra Sculpture Gallery. Here are a selection of pieces from during those years.

Small Attic Home Office Conversion
This house had much of its roof space taken up with trusses but the portion that was built in the older style was ripe for a small attic conversion into a Covid-era home office. As you can see from the before and after shots, it made a huge difference to this home.

Firepit and Landscaping Project
This client wanted a sunken firepit with raised garden beds to create an intimate garden "room". Bricks were recycled from an old chimney that was on the property previously and was removed to make way for solar panels. A small sump pump ensures the area stays dry and the walls and steps are made from welded Corten steel that only rusts on the surface. These walls absorb the heat from the fireplace and radiate it against the legs of those toasting the marshmallows.

Bathroom Renovation for Home Sale
This project brief here was to make the bathroom look as good as possible... at as low a cost as possible. Glen sourced many recycled materials and upcycled the existing mirror, shower screens, bathtub and Cabinetry. For around $700 dollars in materials (+ Labour), the results speak for themselves BUT, please note, Glen's ability to take a nice "After" photo should be taken into account. ;)
